One of my favorites is young Belgian Children's Book Illustrator Sebastiaan Van Doninck. In september last year, I saw one of his books at the Children's Book Fair in Antwerp (Belgium) and immediately fell in love with his work. I bought the book, did a Google search and contacted him throught e-mail... Since I'm a children's book writer, I'm always on the lookout for great illustrators to collaborate with and oh, how I'd just love to work with this Sebastiaan Van Doninck!

Well, to make a long story short, nowadays I have the wonderful privilege to do so! We have just finished our first collaboration project: a fairytale for a special edition of a Dutch Children's Art & Literature Magazine that will be published in September this year, 2005 (sorry, it's in Dutch only). We are planing to do a comic book together and some children's books as well.
Sebastiaan van Doninck isn't really famous... Yet. His first two books were just published a year ago. I hope his children's books will be translated in other languages as well, so children (and grown ups too) all over the world can enjoy his work.
